Replacing Auger Belt on Yard King Snowblower
The belt is partially shredded and still around the pulley. I have all the covers off but can't seem to see how I can get the old belt off and the new one on without taking some of the major housings off. This is a Yard King 12 HP model.

I'm not familiar with Yard King, but on many snowblowers you can remove 2 bolts and split the front and rear sections. The 2 sections pivot at the bottom and the unit opens at the top and provides access to the belts. Not sure yours works this way but many do.
I hope I've described it so you can understand it. Good luck-

things you will need to know to remove & install the belt.
1). You will need to slide the belt over the tensioner pulley to remove belt tension.
2). to remove from the bottom pulley, you will need to release the brake by holding down the engagement lever.
3). many use "split" pullies on the engine making it very easy to change belts. Just remove the bolt that holds the pulley on and the 2 halves will slide off.
