kohler cv18s wont start

hi everyone. im new to this forum. anyway, i have a 10 year old kohler cv18s engine that wont turn over. battery is fine but engine wont crank. oil level is within safe zone on dipstick but on the low end. I added oil just in case oil sentry may have detected low oil. If the oil level was too low, would the oil sentry prevent the starter from turning or does it simply kill the ignition (spark) to prevent starting? any ideas? thanks for the help!!

Is power getting to the starter at all? The sentry (if equipped) will not stop the starter from turning. The solenoid could be bad...what is it on?
