oil sentry question

I have a Kohler CV18S tractor engine with oil sentry protection. question: if the oil sentry detects low engine oil, does the oil sentry kill ignition or does it kill power to the starter motor or both?

It would ground the ignition, which is pretty simple to do.

The starter would require a current break, as opposed to a grounding and would be more involved given the common switch you're working with. So not sure about the starter.

Least all of the oil sentries I have dealt with will allow the engine to crank but will not allow for spark.
