Murray Snowblower Auger hitting top of housing

I have a Murray 3 hp 20 inch snowblower. The auger appears to be hitting the top of the auger housing. It is not enough to stop the auger from rotating -- just making noise. I cannot see any adjustment to correct the problem. My guess is that the auger housing (plastic) warped. The auger does not seem to have any play in the bearings. Any suggestions ??? I thought about trying to bend the auger however I was afraid it might break.

The auger

If you can actually see where the housing or the auger is bent or warped, you can try to use a heat gun carefully and apply pressure as you heat the part. As you heat it you can feel it getting soft, then hold it in place till it cools.

If you havent already done the job, I should have advised you to be mindfull of the gas tank etc, and mabey do it outside.
