Honda snowblower stalls

I have a Honda HS520A Snowblower. It has a 4 cycle engine. It worked fine for the past 3 seasons. When I tried to start it yesterday for the first time this season, it took a lot of pulls and when it eventually started it began to blow a lot of smoke. It began to stall so I turned off the choke and it ran for about 30 seconds (still blowing smoke) then stalled. I couldn't get it started the rest of the day. I went back today and it started on the 2nd pull, but the smoke and stalling situation happened again. I can't get it to start again today. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanks!

 

Might want to try new gas and replace/clean/or regap spark plug.
