Ariens tires/wheels

I'm looking for a pair of saw tooth tires (not the snow hogs) for an Ariens 520E Ariens snow blower, with or without rims at a reasonable price.Stock size on it now is 410X6, looking for the same size in the saw tooth tire (plain thread) NOT knobby tires.

Please contact me if you have these. I'm looking to replace the snow hog tires that are on the machine now to use chains so they are more effective.

Have you checked at places like tractor supply or norther hydraulics? My grandson's go kart has the same size tire except for a 4" rim and both of those places sell 2 [maybe 3] thread designs to fit his go kart.

They make tire chains that specifically fit Snowhog tires.. but I guess youve already got and used a set of chains so return/exhchange wouldnt be an option.

I found a great deal for the two tires mounted on rims (all new and Airens rims too) for $49 for the PAIR with the different tires than shown here.

peppi, have you looked at surplus center?

these are cheap. youll have to find the other side wheel on there though, i know they stock it.

B&S 10A902 Engine Primer Mechanism Not Working - Primer Bulb is OK

Hello, I have a lawnmower with a B&S Engine. The engine numbers are: Model: 10A902 Type: 2171-E1 Code: 98111025 The engine was originally running rough (surging and sputtering) and the primer was working fine. I removed the carb, cleaned it all up, replaced the diaphragm/gasket and it will now not prime. I used strating fluid and it started right up and ran great. Once it's warm, it will start every time and run great. I let it cool and filled the tank to about 3/4 to be sure that there was enough gas and no matter how many times I prime, no gas squirts out anymore. I removed and isnpected the primer bulb and it seemed fine. I replaced it anyway and the problem still exists. I removed the check valve in the priming cavity between the primer and the carb air intake and cleaned the cavity, spring, ball, etc. and still no priming. One thing I just noticed is that the B&S web site calls out for Diaphragm Kit 495770 for Date Codes prior to 07080800 and I was given Diaphragm Kit 795083 which is used for Date Codes after 07080800. Is there a chance that this incorrect Diaphragm could be the source of my primimg issue or are there other things that could be looked into. This seems like such a simple mechanism and I would like to avoid the purchase of a new carb even though it's only about $30. Thx, JoeRead More

I pulled the John Deere out of the garage for spring mowing season. Replaced spark plugs, cleaned carb and fired up GOOD. Mowed several times with at least 3 hours total runtime. The mower was smooth and powerful. I tried to mow a few days later. Ran good for approx 30 minutes. Then began surge, cough and eventually died. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and it would start good but only run for a few minutes before it would die again. I put it away for a week. Pulled it out and it starts quick and easy, but only runs for a few minutes before symptoms return and the mower dies. I spoke to a mechanic and he said it sounds like ignition coil.
