Craftsman Snowthrower 536.884220 Belt Tensioner Spring

How should the spring be installed?

Snowthrower stopped throwing snow. Opened up the side of the machine the belt is on. Belt had no tension. Spring was unattached at one end. Belt tensioner was loose. I don't see how the spring would be attached to provide sufficient tension to the belt. It seems to not fit properly in the ways I tried to install it. I'm wondering if an additional part broke off and got lost.

Thanks.

Possibly you can view and find what you need here.

I've tried that page. It just doesn't zoom in clear enough for me to decipher the way the spring attaches.

Thanks, though.
