RPM Estimate

What sort of RPM should I expect out of a 15hp 1973 flathead lawn tractor engine?

Without you telling us what engine you have, Most are set @ 3600 RPM Wide open, But post the engine brand & numbers so the pro's can verify this.... Roger

Typically, any 4 stroke engine of that size is set from the factory to run at or very near 3600 RPM at full throttle. Now keep in mind that stuff "happens" thru the years, and who knows what the previous owner(s) has set things to. Are you asking to be able to size a drive pulley to change speeds? Or just verifying what it should be?
