Good Source for Used / Recycled Snow Blower Parts?
Anyone have any suggestions on a good source for used / recycled snow blower parts?
I need a replacement impeller pulley (#707190 or 707190P made by Noma) and it is discontinued...
Looking for a recycled parts shop that might have it used...
Thx.

Yeah MTD bought Noma in 1995... MTD discontinued the part:
Here it is...
The snowblower is a Chieftain 8HP Dual Stage # C8250G... It was the house brand sold at Agway Farm & Garden stores in the Northeast late 80's/early '90s. True Value also sold the same snow blowers under the 'Snow Chief' brand... They were built under contract in Canada by NOMA.
I checked with my local small engine mechanic and he said he checked withn all his suppliers and the part is unavailable.
Hence why I am looking for a god used / recycled parts source if anyone knows of a source...

Not 100% sure... My mechanic has the snow blower and took the pulley off (was bent and partially collapsed.)
The Impeller bearing in front of the pulley also needs to be replaced.
The bearing size is listed as 7/8 in the parts manual. The replacement bearing is HERE.
Is that maybe the impeller shaft size/diameter? 7/8" (also the ID of the pulley?)
I checked the parts manual but it does not list he Pulley ID...

This statement is not correct MTD did not buy Noma! MTD bought General Power. Noma built snowthrowers for General Power. General Power was responsible for parts service & warranty for these snowthrowers. This is no different than to days market. Husqvarna builds Lawn & garden tractors, tillers and even some walkpower mowers and some other stuff for Ariens. Ariens is responsible for parts service & warranty. MTD builds Lawn & garden tractors for Toro. Toro is responsible for parts service & warranty. MTD did not buy the snowthrower part of General Power because there wasn't one. Noma was bought by Murray which was bought by Briggs & Stratton.
Most likely the ID is 7/8" this is important because the pulley is likely still available from Murray. I'll keep looking.

Hi - thx. for the info. My mechanic has the pulley so I will have him doublecheck the ID...
Yeah - my bad on the MTD/Noma comment... While investigating I spoke to an MTD parts specialist and he said they bought certain assets General Power in 1995 an that the parts coverage for these blowers were not part of those assets...

I'm glad it worked! I hate it when old equipment is thrown out because parts can't be found.
