MTD Snowblower Doesn't Move - Friction Disc?
My neighbor has a MTD snowblower, model 310-600-A, serial E229B.
The unit doesn't move - he did an inspection and determined that the friction disc is worn out and needs replacing. However, when he went to the local dealer they were unable to help - said the model number is not valid. Does anyone have parts information for this model, specifically, the part number for the friction disc? Thank you.

That is a 1980 model the friction disc part number is 05080AP after market numbers 76-073 or 8898 I always get the after market as the OEM is over priced. Also check the bushings in the sprockets they must not wobble.
