Craftsman transaxle problem

I just changed the filters and fluids on a craftman riding lawn mower and on the 150073 transaxal. The problem I have is that it won't go forward nor reverse unless I push it. Also When I let go of the clutch/ brake, it will turn off. unless I push it. Once it has been pushed it will drive forward and reverse. WHy?please help

Moved you to a fresh thread.

Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.

did you take it apart in order to change oil?

did this start happening only after you changed the fluids?

Does it make a groaning sound when it tries to move? If so, I'd have a look at the brake... it could be sticking. Sometimes the act of pushing a mower back and forth helps unstick a stuck brake.
