Homelite Mighty Lite Gas Blower Model UT08550

Product starts fine but won't run much off choke. Told I need to adjust carb screws. Carb screws require a very thin walled socket with a notch in it to fit size of carb screws. Researching Online it shows several different Homelite Carb Adjusting tools.....apparently one size fits all does not work for Homelite.

Can someone point me to the correct Carb adjusting screw tool for the Ut 08550 Mighty Lite gas Blower and where I can purchase it? (I have seen "D" type, Pac-man type, etc)

Kohler CH20S Poor performance (Kubota)

Kohler CH20S w/1bbl carb (in a Kubota GR2000) will not idle. Governor will adjust (choke out) periodically (about every 10 seconds or 15 seconds w/choke on). When this happens, engine chokes down to near stop but recovers, unless under load (blades engaged, hard turns). Some light black smoke when first starting and/or when I throttle up quickly. Engine/carburetor seems to have the most difficulty when at operating temperature and/or when under load. Runs/idles fine when cool (at startup) but has problems after about 5min of running. Runs/idles fine for longer period of time when at low idle. Seems to also have difficulty maintaining RPM when travelling up/down hills. I am not operating at high altitudes. Will run for longer at ½ throttle, but still shuts down over time and/r under load (ie; mower blade). I would not describe the overall idle as “rough” but it is also not “smooth”. Automatic choke was not opening fully (possibly 20degree butterfly), so I added a spring to allow full (90degree butterfly) opening when choke lever is disengaged. Thoughts? Some things already done; Changed plugs Checked spark and has nice blue fire Adjusted the float levels (no cracks/holes) Adjusted external governor spring (there is tension on governor rod, so it is engaging) Good fuel flow up to carburetor (and bowls have fuel) Slow speed jet O-Rings are good Oil level is good Removed fuel filter and air filter for testing during repair (still problems) New gas w/carb cleaner additive Ran w/out gas capRead More

I have a Troy-Bilt Tuffy rototiller with a Tecumseh 3 hp engine that I bought used. The carburetor was very clogged; I cleaned it and tried to run it. The spring clip for the needle valve was missing. The engine would run okay for a few seconds, then die. I believe the problem was the needle valve was not opening up fast enough to let fuel to the carburetor bowl, so it would use up the fuel in the bowl, then die. I bought a rebuild kit & replaced the needle valve, seat, gasket, and both adjustment screws (& o-rings). When I started it, it would run, but was running rich (I took off the air filter, and it ran a little better; I also blew air into the carburetor, and it ran great). I adjusted both adjustment screws all the way in, which produced the best performance, but still very poor; this was after trying to adjust them out, which caused the engine to bog down & die. I talked to someone at the parts desk, who suggested I may have installed the needle valve seat upside down, so I reversed it. It is still running rich. I could wedge something to hold the throttle (open?) and it would run fairly well, but still not right. It appears to have good compression & spark, because it would run well for a few seconds before I rebuilt the carburetor. Do you have some ideas of what the problem could be?
