Homelite Chainsaw Chassis Question???

Hi all,

I have a Homelite Timberman 45cc chainsaw Model Number UT-10942 that I need to replace Chassis Assembly on and was wondering if the chassis from a Homelite Z3850B Model Number UT-10772 would be a compatible chassis. I checked on Homelite.com and in the parts listing they do in fact carry different Part Numbers for the chassis but they visually look identical so was just wondering if there was a mechanic or someone of the knowledge of these chainsaws that might be able to fill me in??


Question is:

Are the chassis from these two chainsaws interchangeable?

UT-10942 & UT-10772

Why not just get the correct one??? If it's obsolete, maybe give Ebay a try... Roger
