clutch repair on wheel horse 211-4

Hi: My wheelhorse does nothing when I shift out of neutral. Forward or reverse - nothing. I know nothing about mowers and assume I will need a pro to fix this. Since I am assuming it is the clutch (I've been able to follow the "arm" back to the box like assembly under the seat ad it moves okay), my question is will this be such a costly fix that I am better off just looking for another used machine?

Sounds like you are following the brake rod, which doesn't pertain to the problem. Under the mower frame should be a belt going to the transmission pulley. My bet is that this belt jumped off or broke.

Craftsman 6.75 Lawn mower won't start

I just bought this used craftsman lawn mower. it has spark and wont start!!! I replace new spark plug, clean carb, new oil, fresh gas and still won't start. I don't hear any crank at all, pull the rope and it spin. try spray a little carb cleaner into the air intake and still not starting. please help!!Read More

Honda Harmony II clutch cable dilemma

The clutch cable on my Harmony II mower started to fray so I decided to order the cable and replace it myself. All was going well - I disengaged the end of the cable from the transmission, undid the zip ties holding the throttle cable to the clutch cable, unhooked the spring end of the cable from the handle bar assembly but I am totally flummoxed trying to figure out how they got the cable through the small plastic assembly that is clamped to the throttle handle with one 10 mm bolt. It looks like the cable end was threaded through this holder [B]before[/B] the end of the cable was soldered to the small metal ball that keeps the cable from coming out of the spring at the end. The new cable I purchased from Honda is the exact match for the old one but I have no idea how to get the cable through the cable holder assembly without cutting the small metal ball off the end, threading it through the holder and reattaching some kind of new ball to the end of the cable after it goes through the spring. I wonder if there is a new cable holding assembly that is necessary after the factory cable set-up fails??Read More
