mtd yard machine riding mower cranks but wont start
I have so far verified that gas is getting to the carb.
cleaned the carb just in case.
verified that the fuel solenoid is working by plugging it in while off the carb.
there is some rust at the bottom of the bowl and I removed it but I'm afraid there is rust in the little valve not allowing gas through the solenoid. i tried cleaning it but it is in a very akward position but I did get carb cleaning to come through it.
it will crank and crank but won't run. it will run for a second if you spray starting fluid into it but dies as soon as it is used up.

Remove the solenoid from the bowl and see if you can get it to free up and work when turned on.
