Briggs and Stratton Lawnmower Won't Stay Running

HI,
MY old Briggs and Stratton Lawnmower Won't Stay Running
I replaced the spark plug, oil, gas, air filter,and carb gasket & diaphragm. Starts easily then smokes thru muffler; very strong sputtering then dies. engine runs low for a few seconds- doesnt respond to any power increase

Sounds like there is still a carb problem.

Post the engine model, type and code usually stamped in the metal shroud just above the spark plug, so we know what you have. Have a good one. Geo

Sears Riding lawn Mower will stall out(not getting gas).

I have Sears Craftsman Riding mower with a Kohler Engine. Every year, I tune it up(oil, filters etc...) This morning after a little of cutting the lawn, the motor started to go out(like it was starving for gas). Low and behold, I look at the fuel filter and it's dry as a bone.I unplug the hoses, before the fuel filter and the gas is pouring out, no blockages. I assemble it all back and she starts right up. Back in business. A few minutes again, she dies. Any advice/thoughts? THANKS!Read More
