removing muffler from stihl fs55

How do I remove the muffler from my fs55r? do I have to remove the rear shroud to get to it?

I believe so. Not hard to do. If you think it's clogged, I think it has a removable piece at the outlet that just unscrews so that you can clean the spark arrestor screen (the part that clogs).

Thanks, Cheese. Turns out you don't have to remove the shroud - thank goodness. Just take a socket to it like the spark plug. My screen is badly clogged. No wonder the thing won't run!

Right, to remove the screen you don't have to remove the shroud. To remove the muffler, you do.
