Hi all: I have a circa 1995 John Deere STX38 with a 13HP Kohler OHV. When I first start it, with the choke on, and then drop into high, it leaks gas near the muffler, which is up front. It only leaks about a teaspoon or so, but it makes a mess of the driveway. It then stops leaking. When I have to stop the tractor and then restart it after engine is warm (without the choke obviously), there is no leak. Do I have a mixture problem, a choke problem, or a plain old leak? It's difficult to see exactly where it's coming from since I'm in the seat when starting. Not sure if I have tried starting it cold without the choke. Luckily it doesn't catch fire since the muffler is still cold, but it's annoying having to "sand" the gas puddle. Thanks for any feedback.

Have a 1989 Dixon 429 ZTR with a kawasaki 14hp on it, problem is I had starting problems and traced it down to the ignition switch. Now I have the shell off of it and need a connection or hook-up diagram for some of the loose connectors, previous owner put a jumper wire in with all the other connectors:wall:. Tried Dixon wiring schematic, it shows wire runs and thats all their going to show you. Anybody have the wire colors and to what switches they go to, traced the pin connector wires but from there to the switches things are getting screwy, to many loose wires to trace down. Don't want to fry new ignition switch or new starter,oh forgot to say I fried the starter by crossing poles, worked good and then you know what happens sometimes. I'm all Dix't out and wirehead dead.
