getting stuch rims off rear

I have a craftsman 22.0 mower and I need to replace rear rims but I can't get them off. The rim has rusted on outside. Used wd 40 but no luck tried rubber hammer. Any ideas what to use to get the rust to break loose?
Thanks

maybe some heat too , but wd40 won't be much good. PB blaster is about the best isn't it?

Heat only in the worst cases because it burns the paint off the rims. I've had some that I just had to cut off. PBlaster is good stuff.

Your local small engine shop should have some. I have a pile of rims removed from different tractors for spares.
