Honda Mower Start Help After Leaving Fuel Off Accidentally

My Harmony has worked fine for 10 years, regular maintenance etc.

Today I had a brainfart and started it and was mowing but had forgotten to turn on the fuel. Of course it died, and ever since I have been unable to start it, even after turning on the fuel.

I have tried a new plug to no avail. After a 20min "rest" it will start with choke, run for a few secs then die. Then it will not respond at all for another 20min.

Any ideas?

Something is blocking the fuel, whether it's the fuel valve or in the carburetor. Take the carb bowl off and see if fuel is running into the bowl area quickly.

Thanks Cheese - yes it was a "fuel flow" issue. After putting in the new plug I found that every time I pitched the mower forward it would immediately run then quit without the 20min interval. I suspected fuel flow since it was probably tricking into the carb but not flowing. The 3rd time I did it the thing started and ran fine - must have either not been getting enough fuel into the carb or a blockage. THanks for the great site and resource!
