Air compressor oil

I have a Ingersoll-Rand Air Compressor Model No. T102520P-1, 10.4 CFM, 120/1SA/2.5HP. It was made 06/04/1996 and I was wanting to know what is the best oil to use. Also the blower has stoped working and water builds up in it.

Non-detergent motor oil, available at most auto supply stores is what to use in air compressors.
It is usually quite a bit less money that the same oil marked for air compressor use and comes in 20 or 30 weight of which either would be fine.

What does "the blower has stoped working and water builds up in it" mean?
