Weed Trimmers

I ran across 2 weed trimmers in my shed that I haven't used for about 10 years. They ran fine when I put them in there, but now I can't get them to fire. Is there an obvious cause?

The obvious cause is, they haven't been ran in 10 yrs, carbs are varnished, diaphrams dried and brittle, fuel lines are shot, fuel filter is blocked with varnish, just for starters. Have a good one. Geo
