Honda 216HRR TDC Mower wont Roll Backwards
I've got a Honda 216 HRR self propelled lawn mower won't roll backwards freely, I've checked the gears on the wheels themselves and cleaned them up, to no avail. Also the Mower runs like crap in any sort of heavy grass, thought it was blades, but new ones made no difference.

Try taking the gears off and clean the shaft and the key that makes them engage.
For the running problem, probably either an air filter or spark plug. Hondas are picky about air filters.
