Briggs and Stratton 3.75 hp Throttle on handle doesn't increase speed from idle.

Model 98902-0110-01, Briggs 3.75 hp
Serviced air filter, replaced oil, cleaned carburetor, replaced spark plug and starts on 1 pull and runs like a champ EXCEPT

Throttle on handle doesn't increase speed from idle. Removed air filter and part 97 (throttle shaft) is not being moved by governor spring. Rotating gently Part 97 clockwise by hand guns the motor and pulls air vane so that is working fine (rotates freely). Just down't pull from the handle slide.

Is there a diagram (photo) of how the parts 201 (air vane link) and 209 (governor spring) should be connected?

Any suggestions.

The pic below should help, the tab to the right of the pic(loop with the spring inserted) sometimes gets bent and will not allow the throttle to function, just bend it forward(to the right in the pic) until the linkage will make contact. Have a good one. Geo

Reversed air vane link, replaced diaphram, and governor spring. Truly problem fix was the air vane link
