You really need the info from the carb, whether it is a zama, walbro, etc. then the model number and stuff, zama would be C1U or C1Q and a set of numbers the walbro would be Wt-xxx, both sites have great tech info under their Service/Aftermarket tabs. Have a good one. Geo

I can see the word Walbro in the carb, but the only number I see is the primer bulb plate number. Any clues to where the part number for the carburator would be?

The model info and stuff is stamped in the carb body so you must remove the carb to find it. The walbro site will tell you where to look for model numbers. Have a good one. Geo

Tecumseh Card ID Help

I need help identifying a Tecumseh carb. The only numbers I can find are "901 3J7" stamped on the carb and "510 125" on the carb intake pipe. The motor has a Tecumseh metal tag with an indian on it but I cannot find an engine information label. This engine is used on a log splitter that's at least 25yrs old and from what I was told by the man who built it is that it is an 8hp engine. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I have an old Yard Machines rider that was recently "fixed" for $330 and ran twice. It now smokes and squeals when deck is put down. It looks like a belt might be messed up ...twisted or something but I do not know how to get to it to change it. Ran fine when parked after last mowing so we are not sure what happened and don't want to go back to guy who charged us a fortune. Any help would be appreciated.:)
