Would anyone recommend this unit?

How loud is it ?

List price on this is over the $600 you mentioned in your other thread. I have no idea how loud it is, but at least it is backed by Generac, a long time manufacturer/distributor of generators. I suspect it has a Chinese clone engine, or they would be bragging about it being a Briggs or Kohler. Not all Chinese engines are bad, just can be sometimes difficult to get parts for on the off brand stuff.

The XG has U.S made engines. Full Pressurized oil lube... with a filter. That's why i was considering going over my budget.

That said ...


I ended up getting this:

Champion Global Power Equipment 3500W/4000W Portable Generator - 4434023 | Tractor Supply Company

it was 310 with tax and shipping to store. Not bad.

It's on route! I can't wait to test it out.

Based on the reviews TSC has on their site, seems like a good unit. Remember to check/add oil BEFORE starting it for the first time. In all the excitement of a new toy, that VERY important step can be forgotten.
