Bolens trimmer

31cc Bolens trimmer has no spark. If I read my ohm meter correctly the coil primary resistance is about 1000 ohms. I bought the trimmer at a garage sale noing it would not start but suspected fuel problems. Since I have no spark I need some trouble shooting suggestions

Disconnect the kill wire from the coil and test for spark with the spark plug properly grounded. If no spark, then you have a bad coil, plug, or improper air gap between the coil and flywheel.

Snow thrower carb identification help

Hi, I have a 1996 5hp yardman snow thrower model 31600-0. I need a rebuild kit for the carbs. as it stalls under heavy load. The only mark on the carb is 825 4H9. I thought this was a tecumseh carb but I cannot find anything related to tecumseh with this number. Any help is appreciated. Erhan

Craftmans rider wont start?

I have a craftmans 42 in cut dlt3000 with a kohler engine. New spark plug, jumped safety seat, fly wheel key good. All it does is back fires, Got off it to empty the bagger, ran for 1hr great, getting on and off started right up everytime except for the last time. Everything looks good but only back fires. Please help Leaves are falling!!!!!
