MTD 8 HP snowblower will not start??
I have a 5 yr old MTD snowblower that will not turn over. I checked the recoil and found it perfect,BUT I also found chunks of rubber jammed in the fin area.I thought after reading some earlier threads that the piston might have been siezed, but now I am thinking I have other problems!!! Any help would be nice as the SNOW is coming...Thanks

Mice are crafty creatures! Have you removed the blower shroud to check to see if they haven't made a home in the flywheel/cooling fins area? I'm not sure of the attraction but they love to make this area home over the summer months.
