I know what their website says, but I doubt they make their own engines. I also know they claim to make a 6.8 Liter V-10 engine and a 4.2 Liter V-6 engine too, but they are both Ford engines.

I've never heard of Generac V-engines but I believe they produce industrial generators with inline sixes and they don't claim to manufacture the engine but they do "approve" the engine. I'm pretty certain that their small engines are indeed actually Generac produced.

No where does Generac's spec sheet say "Generac Approved".

On their diesel industrial models, however, I believe 35 KW through 50 KW units list John Deere as engine manufacturer. Below 35 KW they list KMC/Generac, which is manufactured by Fiat. 60 KW and above, I don't know.
