Smile Craftsman 8.5/26" snow blower won't start

I bought used craftsman model 536886190 last summer. It was working then, but never blow snow with it. I emptied the gas tank, and stored it. Now i filled the gas thank with old gas i had stored, and won't start. I changed the spark plug, but did't help. What should i try?
Thanks!

The first thing to do is start over, remove the old gas, drain the carb and get new gas. Have a good one. Geo

I put a fresh Gas, but didn’t start. Then I removed the spark plug, and pure a little gas into it, put the plug back in. When I tried it started briefly and stopped.

The bowl nut (main jet) is probably clogged, it is usually the tiny hole near the top threads that is the problem, it is almost invisible on some models, I clean it with the wire from a twist tie, refer to the pic below for reference only as there are several types. Have a good one. Geo
