Motormaster lawnmower will not stay started

Hi
I have a MotorMaster gas lawnmower 4.25hp and the only way it will stay started is if I put a piece of paper towel in the fuel filter compartment with the fuel filter also. I had a carb kit done on it. any advise?

The paper towel acts as a choke to enrich the gas/air mix. There is still something preventing the proper flow of gas. If the carb kit was installed by a shop, contact them first.

Hello popsss,

Sounds to me you have a restricted main jet/bowl nut, This needs to be checked and cleaned. Here's a LINK to carb disassembly and cleaning....

Good Luck
