Which chain: Homelite 10617A chainsaw
Can anyone tell me what I need for a chain for my Homelite 10617A Super
chain saw?
BTW: Does is pay to have these sharpened?

Of course it pays to have it sharpened...or with a few dollars, some time and practice you can DIY. A guide, a file, and a marker is about all you need.
A chain can last years with occasional homeowner use if it's sharpened regularly. I think most people keep a sharpened spare so they can swap them as needed.
Not sure of the question about what chain you need for your saw...the manual should tell you..or any place that sells them normally has a cross reference book.
