Weedeater Featherlite plus 02072N700662-1
Anyone know the Featherlite plus weedeater? or just weedwackers in general? I
have one that's maybe 10 years old. Been working pretty good, just changed the
oil/gas mix as per the 2-cycle 40:1 ratio. Just before I did, I started having
trouble keeping it running. I can start it, but when I move the choke to off, it
will stop running. It revs pretty well for over 10 seconds, but it will either
go off as I said when I move the choke off, when I squeeze the lever, or
sometimes just after a minute or two. No problem starting, I did not change the
spark plug, but would that make a difference in keeping it running? How long do these machines live anyway?

If it is 10 yrs old it is way past time for the fuel lines to fail, check the fuel lines for cracks and that the filter hasn't broken off in the tank. Have a good one. Geo
