Kohler command pro 30 cv750

I replaced a bad coil already on the engine. I have also replaced the fuel pump. I still seem to have a very random loss of power while mowing. It only last of 2-5 seconds and shoots right back up to full power. I am not sure what the problem is dose anybody have any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it?

Check the individual segments of the fuel line running from the tank to the fuel pump. Make sure they are not clogged. I just ran into this problem on a cub cadet with a Kohler.

Also check your fuel tank cap to assure it's venting properly....

B&S Vanguard engine-oil in carb

Replaced the carb on 1995 troy-bilt vanguard 16 hp v-twin engine last summer and was running great. Recently getting white smoke when I engauge the mower. Now noticed engine running rough but starts and idles fine. Removed the air clearer and found it was coved with oil. Also notice oil around the edges of the carb. Plugs are black with oil. How bad do you think it is? Need new rings? Is that a big job? Dick

Have a Craftsman tiller with a 2 cycle motor, I believe it is a Tecumsa, It has a Tillotson carb on it. HU96A,, have rebuilt the carb, the seat looks good. Anyone have any ideas on why the needle won't shut the gas off. I can get it running, but very shortly. When it shuts off the gas continues to run out.
