How to remove main jet and metering rod from Honda F501 tiller?

I have a Honda F501 tiller that I think has a dirty main jet and metering rod. I've removed the carburetor fuel bowl, but I can't figure out how to remove the main jet and metering rod. Can anybody tell me how? Thanks.

They are just screwed in you should use a blade that is a tight fit in the slot.
