Troy Bilt Steering Problem

The problem I am having is that both tires are all over the place. Toe in, toe out, one and both. I have replaced all parts except for steering wheel and column and the same thing is happening. There is no adjustment. What am I missing? HELP!

I don't understand what the problem is, and I don't know what mower you have. What do you mean by "Toe in, toe out, one and both."?

Sorry for the confusion. I have a model 509 rider. While moving one tire will go left the other right. Then sometimes one will be stright and the other will go left or right. This happens going stright and while turning.

Under the seat is a sticker with the model number of your mower. Can you post that?

I don't see anything on the diagram that would cause both or just one wheel to intermittently toe out, then in, then back straight. Maybe the wheel bushings are worn out, letting the wheel flop on the axle, or maybe the drag links or ball joints at the end are loose.

Thanks for taking a look.I am having the same problem as you do. I do not see why it is happening. I have changed ALL the bushings, tie rods, ball joints, axles, spacers, and gears. Oh well, it is 12 years old. Could be time for a new one.
Thanks again!!!

Is the axle tilting? You replaced the axle?
