I am getting gas in my tecumseh engine for lawn mower .

i have replaced seats & needles still leaking gas into crank shaft . Any ideas , have oil filter off right now & can see gasoline dripping from where the oil filter screws on

Hello shermtank,

When you installed the new needle valve seat did you install it with the small ring indentation down facing the bottom of the port ?

Also, Did you shake the float while holding it with a finger and thumb to see if you felt any fuel sloshing around inside ?

Lastly a guess since you didn't post engine model and spec numbers, If it's a brass float, Did you hold the carb up side down with the bowl off and see if the top of the float was sitting level or slightly raised on the side away from the mounting pin ?

Sorry for all the questions but.....
