Murray 38" riding lawn mower

I have a 38" Murray riding lawn mower, older than 2005, that I took to the shop for a tune up and it came back running good. He called me and said the drive belt needed to be replaced and I told him to please replace it. When my son picked it up it sounded great but wouldn't move as the guy had taken the belt off the front as it wouldn't start with it on. My mower starts and seems to run great but I can't mow because it doesn't move. Can someone please walk me thru putting the transmission drive belt on and possibly a diagram? I don't know if he has the wrong size belt or installed wrong. Advise?

Hello Oksunshyn,

Without the model number posted off the white tag under the seat it will be hard to find a proper diagram for your machine.

If you paid them to repair your machine you should MAKE them do it PROPERLY !

Craftsman Riding Mower Sputtering and Dying

My mower has just over 50 hours on it and had used it with no problem 1 1/2 months ago. Today went to mow and was very difficult to start and when it did, it spit and sputtered and smoked and would not stay running. The gas was only 1 1/2 month old too that was left in it but I drained it anyway and put in fresh gas. Same thing, it would eventually start and run real ragged and after about 5 minutes of just sitting on it with it running, it would rev up to normal and then go dead within 10 seconds. I took the little cylinder looking thing out from under the carb and made sure the plunger was loose and moving properly. (I had a problem with that and ethanol gas one time gumming it up, now use 100% gas.) It was a little catchy to begin with but kept moving it and it limbered up fine. The mower was also very difficult to restart after it would run for a few minutes. Took out the sparkplug and it looked fouled so I replaced it and it still was very difficult to even fire. Finally got it started a few times and when it would run for that 5 minutes, it would rev up, run normal and go dead within 10 seconds. When it was sputtering, it would be smoking too but once it got full throttle, the smoking would stop. I never tried to engage the blade because it barely had enough power to run. The last time I got it running, just before dark, I put it in the highest gear and drove it around and after about 5 minutes it ran normal, 10 seconds and dead, same pattern it had all afternoon. Brute Pressure Washer Problem

My neighbor gave me his Brute Model 020301 Rev 02 power washer because it didn't work correctly. He said he thought a screw was missing from the bottom. I checked and there were no missing parts. I read the other recent posting about brute pressure washer and my problem my be similar to that one but would like some guidance. My neighbor complained of low pressure or no water to the wand. When I started it and it would burst with high pressure and then the pressure would lower. If i shut it down and left the hose on it would have more pressure when pressing the trigger and not running than when running. Run pressure starts high and then gets weaker. There are no leaks.
