snapper rider won't move

I have a snapper rider (84319) that had a broken spring that keeps tention on the drive wheel hardware. I ordered a new spring but it wasn't the one I needed, so, I reworked the old one. After replacing the drive wheel because of wear, I find that the mower still doesn't want to move. It will 'nugg' a little bit forward or backward but won't move a foot either way. Does the outer rubber piece on the drive wheel suppose to be loose and moveable? Mine slips on the center part quite easily. Thanks, John

The clutch disk slips over the hub inside. When you replaced it, did you get one with the liner inside the disk? If not, you'll need one. If yours has the liner, then I suspect spring tension is not correct.

Thanks cheese!

I said a prayer, went out and checked the spring, put it down on all four's, pulled the started rope, fired it up, got on and put it in gear and took off. Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!

God Bless!
