Need part number or belt size FOR atlas single stage 3/22
I need to know what belt to use to replace the auger drive belt. There is not an old belt on the machine. It is an atlas built by general power in harvard, il. They are not in business any longer the model nuber is a3222r-x. Service number is 602896. It is a 3hp 22 inch single stage 2 cycle. I need a part number or the size of the belt to use.

model number
I copied off of the tag on the machine. It used the flat belt , noT the v belt. The mfg date shows o2k. I have worked o n this stuff for many years. I guess I will have ti figure out a way to measure and order a belt thru thru BELARUS TRACTOR. i ALSO HAV E A SC322 MADE BY THE SAME MFG I BELIEVE ITS A SNOW CHIEF MAADE FOR TRU VALUE, I HAVEN'T TAKE THE BELT COVER OFF TO SEE IF THE BELT WOULD FIT, WHAT IS THE NUMBER YOU GAVE ME THAT IS AFTER THE SIX DIGIT NUMBER WHEN YO ANSWERED BEFORE? BEFORE I SEND THIS THREAD, I WILL RECHECK THE MODEL NUMBER. I HAVE RE CHECKED. THE MODEL NUMBER CLEARLY READS A3222R-K MANUFACTURED IN HARVAVARD ,IL. A FEW MILES FROM WHERE I LIVE. THIS MACHINE IS LIKE NEW AND i WOULD LIKE TO PUT A BELT ON IT DO i CAN RETAIL IT. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, HATE TO PART IT OUT.

i found this sitemowerparts web/usa. left out the crazy letters after the numbers on the model tag. i downloaded a parts diagraghm that everything matched this machine. found a belt number, it was superceded by an mtd number. the belt at this site was quite mexpensive, so i went to another place that i have used alot for replacement belts. before i ordered the belt, i used a pice of string and routed it liked the belt that was missing. i came up with approximately 29 inches allowing for the idler assembly. i then looked this belt up, vbelts for less.comatlas421370oem vbelt4lesscross reference a290j6 it is jpoly v-belt with 6 ribs(i counted the v's on the drive and driven pulley, it has 6. the pulleys are 1/2 inch wide inside the outer lip of the pulleys this is a 1/2 inch wide 29 inch belt with 6 ribs. the belt is only$4.11 plus shipping. like i say, i have used this company a hundred times or more. they are always less and have never had a premature deteriation of the belt. thanks for the help in finding what i needed. i have done small engine repairing since 1975, so i post answers when i have time. check out these site, they will help. vbelts for less. com is a division of belarus tractor.. there phone is 800 356 2336. forgive my mistypes
