Silver Eagle 32BC Trimmer won't start

We have a gas trimmer that has been acting up. When we get it started...it will only run with the throttle wide open. After running for about 30 mins it stopped and we could not get it started. Replaced spark plug but it still will not start at all. Any ideas on what the problem could be would be greatly appreciated!!

With no info other than that, and just knowing that most trimmer problems are carburetor and fuel line related, I will say that is probably your problem. Check fuel lines and primer for cracks and splits. Replace as needed. If none found, clean carb and install rebuild kit.

I am not familiar with your particular make and model....however, many string trimmers have a removable screen in the muffler that helps reduce the operational noise level. At times these screens build up exhaust residue that restricts exhaust flow. As a result, the engine is back-pressured making starting difficult and reduces power. Make sure your exhaust is clean.
