Check the oil to see if it may been run low on oil. Sounds like it locked up or it may have a belt off under engine and locking up engine. Good luck.

It does sound like it ran out of oil and seized. Is it out of oil?

Thanks, there is oil in it, however it does have a little burned smell to it, should I beable to turn the main pulley underneath by hand,I tried but it won't turn, is there a easy way to tell if the motor is gone, I'm not much of a mechanic but I'm willing to try. thanks again

Pull off the top engine cover and cover on top of flywheel and put a 1/2" drive rachet on the flywheel bolt or nut and remove spark plug and see if you can turn it over by this method. If not able to turn over pull enginge out and remove bottom pan. You should be able to see what is locked up. Aluminum rod will be black. Good luck.
