cub 2556 hydro tranaxle

what type of oil can i use in this transaxle
i was told r & o by 1 person and by another person 20 w 50 oil another person told me hydralic oil that goes in farm equipment

please help

the tag on transaxle says 618-3240

Hello bob1908,

I've tried both numbers you've posted that yielded nothing, Can you post the unit model number normally on a white tag under the seat ?

the tag under the seat is eligible to read and it an 2166 not 2556

Well Bob,

That made a difference, Your machine has a HydroGear transaxle assembly therefore you want to use 20W50 engine oil.

For future parts reference you can use model number 13A-214G100 or 13A-254G100.

so 20 50 motor oil for transaxel with no other additaves will work and the filter any scpl 1 needed
