Boens mower won't start

I replaced plug ,battery ,gas filterand air filter, but acts like it wants to turn over...no go.
Took starter fluid and sprayed into carburetor and she turned over..As long as spray continued she kept running.

Was told it has fuel shut-off valve...checked it and replaced.
Help Please

It would help if you could tell us what engine you have; brand, model & serial number.

When you say "turn over" what do you mean? I assume you mean the engine runs. Can you tell if fuel is getting to the carburetor? When turning the engine over & choking do you smell gas in the exhaust?

Sounds like the carburetor s clogged from what I can tell. Usually when you say an engine won't turn over, that means it wont crank, won't make a revolution, like it would do with a dead battery. I think in this case the engine is turning over fine, it just won't start.
