SnoTrac 5HP 5 speed 2 stage snow blower 314 450 502 won't self propel

I was running it this afternoon, got a bit of gravel in it that pinged around so i slowed the engine and it stop right away. Immediatley stoped moving forward or reverse.

Its cold out now, and I've never had this problem before, so I'll wait until daylight to get back into it, but I am thinking I probably blew a belt.

I'm really not sure how to tell what size of belt I need. Any suggestions? Also for those that know, am I barking up the right tree on this? The auger is still turning fine.

Question....

Hi, I read your thread while looking for a user manual for the same snowblower, I just got one but I don't really know how it works.....do you have or do you know where to get this manual?.....I've been looking on the internet for it with no luck so far.....my neighbor gave it to me when he moved and I know that it works.....please let me know....

I believe it was made by MTD under the brand Yard Machine.
MTD 31-Snow Throwers Exploded Parts Lookup by Model
One area to check would be shear pins in the drive wheels.

Snowblower

Thanks, for the model number it would look like it was made by MTD, the list only goes down to 1996 and I am assuming that mine is a 1994 model, also, it has a tag that says it is a Tecumseh engine, made here in Canada, but I have not found anything about this model...314-450-502
I hope you can help me.....
