Question STIHL Blower Won't Idle...

Good morning everyone,

I have a hand-held STIHL Blower that has worked flawlessly since I bought it a couple of years ago. I cranked it up yesterday for the first time in a couple of months and encountered an issue, which I think can probably be fixed easily; i just don't know how.

It took a lot more pulls to get it started than usual and once it turned over I had to keep the throttle pulled to max to continue to run. Once I let up on the trigger, it would slow down and cut off. I initially thought it was only because it hadn't been used in a while and once it warmed up, it'd be fine. But, the problem didn't go away after nearly an hour of use.

Can anyone provide a diagnosis and/or suggestion for an adjustment or fix of some kind? I LOVE STIHL outdoor equipment and this is the first issue I've had with anything they make... I'd be surprised if this is anything catastrophic and would love to avoid taking it in for repair if I can.

Thanks in advance y'all.

Look at the carburetor for 2 black adjustment screws side by side. The one of the pair that is closest to the engine is the idle mixture screw. Try backing it out 1/8 to 1/4 turn and see if it does better.
