Scott's riding mower repair
My neighbor has a Scott's model S2554 that turns over when starting byt when the electric choke switch is pulled the starting motor stops. this is the first time it has been used this year. I don't have a wiring diagram but it seems like the start circuit is controlled by the choke switch.

The electric switch is the PTO (turns the blades on)... not the choke. It won't start with the PTO turned on (safety system). The choke is a different knob, usually next to or below the throttle.
