Exclamation Need help because crafts man wouldn't help

I have a craftsman LT2000 and it's got a gas pedal and no matter how far I press down on it, it still goes about the same speed as it is when I barley push down on it! I've had the mower for about 3 years got it new. It also starts to get even slower as I keep mowing.

Could be the belt slipping or the transaxle getting weak. I assume this is a hydro? A model number might help us know what you have better.

Does the engine speed up when the throttle is moved from idle to higher speeds? Just wanted to eliminate that.

It does speed up some but probably from about in the middle to full speed on the throttle it goes about the same speed but still it's not the throttle for sure. Ill find out the model for you and what belt would affect the speed?
