need to know amount and type of lube to use rebuilding Poulan Tiller

I have a Poulan PRRT65D Tiller that has a broken chain in the transmission. Does anyone know the type of grease and the amount with which I need to replace the old grease? The stuff that is in there now is orange as if it is mixed with rust and very gritty so I have to replace it with something! Thanks...

"00" grease (double ought grease) works well and is similar to what is in there. You can buy it at snapper dealers and some lawn mower shops.

Oh, it's grease! Do you have any guess about how much I should use? Thanks...
