Briggs and Stratton Generator with Nikki Carb Gasket Issue

Working on a Briggs and Stratton / Coleman Gas powered generator that I could not make run without putting fuel directily into the carb. Would not run on its own due to not getting gas. I have taken the carb apart, cleaned like new and ready to reinstall. When trying to get gasket back on seems to not want to fit. Stretched a bit? Everything I try, it seems to pop out here or there. I know if it doesn't get seated properly I am wasting my time putting it back together this way.
Any secrets or do I simply buy another? This motor hasn't run more than 7 hours although the unit is 8 or 9 years old.
Thanks in advance for your assistance and advice.

Hello Ball Jovi,

Purchase a new gasket/seal, Ethanol fuel causes these o-ring type gasket/seals to expand soon as air hits them...

Good Luck

Thank you. One is on order. Hope to have it in a day or two and up and running shortly thereafter.
